How to write a Seedance prompt
- 1. Put the subject and the action in the first sentence. Add the scene, the camera movement and the style after that.
- 2. For more than one shot, label them "Shot 1:" and "Shot 2:" and say where the cut happens.
- 3. Repeat the same character description in every shot — age, clothing and features — so the person stays stable across cuts.
- 4. Add a motion intensity cue such as gentle, moderate or fast, and shape the idea as a 5 to 10 second clip.
About the Seedance prompt generator
What does a Seedance prompt need?
Start with a clear subject and action, then the scene, camera movement and style. For several shots, number them and mark the cuts, and keep the character description the same in each shot.
Can I generate a JSON prompt for Seedance?
Yes. Switch on JSON output to ask for one JSON object — title, duration, shots, camera, audio and a negative prompt — instead of a prose paragraph. If the model does not return valid JSON, the raw text is shown.
Where do I use a Seedance prompt?
This tool only writes the prompt. It does not generate the video and is not affiliated with ByteDance. Paste the result into Seedance where you have access, such as Dreamina, Jimeng, or an API provider.
